Movies

Movies, also called films, are a form of visual art using an electric signal and screens to show sounds, actions, people, and images to communicate an idea and evoke feelings. 

Dance

Dance is a way to move your body, usually to music. It’s an expressive art form, and many people enjoy dance for exercise, entertainment, and stress relief. Dance may happen between one or more people together, or you may move to music on your own. 

School

The word “school” has two meanings. The first is school as a place to learn, a physical building, or an online site. Another form of the word school means you were “schooled” or taught something by another person or source of information. 

Vegetables

Vegetables are any part of a plant that is edible. For example, you might eat the leaves, stem, or root of a plant. Each part is a vegetable. Some examples of vegetables are carrots, celery, and potatoes. It’s easy to confuse vegetables with fruit; however, fruit contains seeds since it comes from the flowering part of plants. 

Dialogue

You might have a conversation with yourself or speak with someone who listens but doesn’t respond; however, that is only talking, not a dialogue. Dialogue is when two or more people converse back and forth with each other. Thanks to technology, a dialogue can also occur when chatting with other people online. 

Media

Media is any form of communication. The singular of media is medium, and both describe the news, magazines, television, the internet, books, and anything that shares facts or information to influence other people. 

Politician

Politics are activities within a government, which could be at the city, state, or country level. Politicians stem from the word politics and can be defined as people who are involved in politics or hold a political office. 

Pet

Pet has a few meanings: First, a pet is a domestic animal that becomes a part of someone’s life. The person or family gives the animal a home and takes care of it. 

Second, the word “pet” means something special or important to you. For example, you might have a pet project you are working on in school that gets all your attention before anything else does. 

Lastly, the word “pet” is an action when you gently use your hand to stroke or pat a person, an animal, or an object. 

Sorry 

Sorry is a descriptive word used to describe a feeling of remorse. You might be sorry that you hurt someone’s feelings. It is also a way to describe a feeling of regret. 

For example, feeling sorry that you didn’t take a chance you should have taken. The final form of sorry is feeling sympathy for a person. If someone is ill, you might feel sorry for them because they aren’t doing well. 

Luck

Luck is an interesting word describing the phenomenon of a good result happening without taking a particular action. For example, you pass a test with a high grade even though you didn’t study. People might say that was luck. 

Another form of the word luck is when you consider specific actions, thoughts, objects, or ideas to bring good fortune or misfortune. Some people pick a penny up off the ground whenever they see one, feeling it will bring them good luck. On the other hand, another person might believe that if they ignore the penny, it’s bad luck, and something negative will happen. 

Yesterday

Yesterday is the day before the day you are currently living in (today). It’s in the past, unlike today, which is the present. 

Tomorrow

Tomorrow is the future. It’s the next day after today (the current day you are in). 

Ceremony

A ceremony is an event which is usually performed for a special occasion. Often, a ceremony will have rituals with meaning to those involved, such as religious rituals or family traditions. During a ceremony, there may be music, dance, or speech. Common ceremonies are weddings, baptisms, graduation ceremonies, and award ceremonies.
