How To Square Your Photos
To use our tool, just drag and drop a photo to the gray box above or click on it and select a photo.
Then select which option you want to square your photo.
The options do the following:
- Default: Make the photo or image fit with a square box. It will take the minimum height or width of the image and use that as the maximum dimension for each side of the square.
- Blur Fill: This will resize the image similar to the default setting, but also add the image at full size as the background. It will then apply a blur effect to the background. You can adjust the amount of blur with the slider. **Unfortunately, blur is not yet available on Safari and Chrome on iPhone**
- Resize: This will squish the image to fit within a square. The image may look distorted.
- Color Fill: Similar to the default setting, except that you can set the background color. By default, the background color will be set as the dominant color in the image.
- Crop: Use this setting to zoom and fit a certain part of the image into the square shape.
FAQs
Why Doesn’t the Blur Function Work on iPhone?
This is a limitation of iPhones. They do not have the browser capabilities to handle blur effect. For the nerdy crowd, you can read more here. We have found a workaround for Safari on Macs, but not iPhone (which includes Chrome on iPhone).
Why Is the Blurred Image Low Quality?
The lower quality is only in the preview image. When you download the image, it should be full quality.
