Uplifting

To be uplifting is when your words or actions make people feel hope, happiness, or optimism. You encourage others to be or do better instead of bringing them down or making them sad.

As an uplifting hero, making people feel hopeful can help you on your quest because they will be more willing to participate in your plans and protect you from danger and villains.

Legend

A legend, as a hero word, can have two meanings. A legend can talk about heroes or magical creatures or be more rooted in reality but still present unlikely events.

You can also be a legend when you become famous for doing something special or important. Maybe you are very good at playing soccer and become a soccer legend, or perhaps you defeated an evil King and saved people from starvation, becoming a history and folk legend.

Gallant

When you are gallant, you behave bravely, like a hero. Your actions are bold and courageous, and you always do the right thing while still being respectful and kind to others.

Vigilante

As a vigilante, you take the law into your own hands, which means you investigate crimes and punish criminals instead of letting the police do it. You do this because you feel that sometimes the legal authorities (the police) are not doing their job. But instead of waiting for them to do something, you take the lead and solve some crimes—even though you’re not supposed to because the police are the only ones legally allowed to deal with it.

Courageous

Being courageous is when you do something even when you’re afraid or know you might get hurt. Your courage can make you a hero to others because it means you did the right thing while learning about the dangers.

Epic

Epic is a hero word that refers to something that is impressive or grand and that usually includes heroic acts. Imagine you go on a long journey full of adventures where you meet many interesting people and face many dangers, but you still act like a hero and courageously conquer your fears in order to do the right thing.

Selfless

You are selfless when you think more about the needs and desires of others instead of your own. This means giving up things you value greatly for the sake of others or something else you consider more important. This sacrifice could be an object or something more abstract, like your time. Many selfless heroes end up giving up their lives for the greater good.

Guardian

You are a guardian when you protect, defend, or keep someone or something safe. Usually, as a guardian, you will feel very strongly about this task and will be willing to risk your life for it. Being a guardian means you are selfless and courageous and will do anything for the object or person under your protection.
