What Is Pictionary?
Pictionary is a game where one person draws a word on a whiteboard or piece of paper and everyone else tries to guess the word or phrase that is being drawn before the timer runs out. The game can be played on teams or as individuals. The game is simple, but the execution can be challenging. There is no limit to the number of people who can play, but you should play with at least four people so that you can have teams of two competing against each other.

A random word is any word in the English language that is generated by selecting a random word from a list. Our generator selects from over 5,000 of the most common English words to generate a random word. You can narrow you search by selecting nouns, adjectives, or verbs as well.
Why Don’t You Have All Words in Your Random Generator?
It doesn’t make sense for us to include all words from the English dictionary in our generator since there are a lot of words that aren’t used on a daily basis. We’ve selected a list of the top 5,000 words that are most common in daily life so that the words can actually be guessed in the games of Charades and Pictionary.

How Do You Play Pictionary
You can buy the official Pictionary game, but playing your own game of Pictionary is fairly easy. Just follow these steps:
- Split your group into two teams.
- Get two whiteboards or something to draw on.
- Choose a person to draw from each team.
- The drawers take a look at the random word for this round.
- Set a timer for one minute.
- Drawers draw a representation of the word on the whiteboards.
- The rest of the team members try to guess the word while the drawers draw.
- If a team guesses correctly before the minute is up, that team gets a point.
- Repeat steps 3-8 until a team earns the agreed upon number of points to win.
