Chocolate Cupcakes

Are you craving a homemade pastry that is easy to make and ready to serve in just under an hour? Give chocolate cupcakes a try!

All you need are simple ingredients – cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, salt, vanilla extract, sugar, oil, buttermilk, and eggs. As for the steps? Just combine all the dry ingredients first, then mix the wet ingredients, pour the batter into the cupcake liner, and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. When the cupcakes are cooked and cooled, you can add your favorite frosting, and voila! You have ready-to-serve chocolate cupcakes. You

Carrot Cake

Carrot cake sounds like a “healthy dessert,” but one bite will tell you it can be as sinful as other cakes! And, yes, you get natural sweetness and moisture from grated carrots, but between the sugar, oil, dense crumb, and thick cream cheese frosting, it’s anything but light.

Cookies

You don’t need complicated recipes to make something delicious! With just flour, sugar, fat, and eggs, you can create one of the most customizable desserts there is: cookies. And yes, you can add some chocolate chips, spices, oats, or fillings.

Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are made with rolled-out soft, yeasted dough, with a butter, cinnamon, and sugar spread. Then, they’re baked into fluffy, golden spirals. Of course, let’s not forget the sweet, creamy icing on top!

Clafoutis

If you want a dessert that combines a custard and a pancake, a clafoutis is what you are looking for. And surprisingly, it is easy to bake at home. All you have to do is pour a simple batter over fruit (traditionally cherries) and then bake it. The result is a soft, lightly sweet, and comforting dessert that “looks fancy, feels effortless.”

Cobbler

With a cobbler, you get sweet fruit (think peaches, berries, or apples) sitting under spooned-on dough or batter that bakes up soft and slightly cakey. Some versions even have a scoop of ice cream on top!

Chocolate Truffles

Chocolate truffles are bite-sized treats made from ganache and, depending on the recipe, can be dusted with cocoa powder, sprinkles, or nuts.

So, what do they taste like? Well, they have a creamy, smooth, and melt-in-your-mouth texture. And depending on the type of chocolate you use, they can be sweet, dark and intense, mild, or bittersweet.

Fun Fact: This treat traces back to French chocolatiers in the late 19th century.

Crepe

A crêpe is like a pancake, but extra thin. It also has a filling! You can get it with a classic Nutella, sliced fresh fruits (like strawberries and bananas), or the tangy, sweet combo of lemon, butter, and sugar.

Cheesecake

If you prefer a creamy, dense, and slightly tangy dessert, cheesecake should be at the top of your list! And don’t worry, making cheesecake at home is pretty straightforward.

The ingredients you will need include:

  • Cream cheese
  • Eggs
  • Sugar
  • Sour cream
  • Vanilla extract
  • Salt
  • Butter
  • Graham cracker crumb

Here’s how you can make the cheesecake

  1. Grab a bowl, put the cream cheese in it, and mix it until smooth, then add the sugar. Mix again until creamy.
  2. Put the vanilla extract, salt, and sour cream into the mix. Stir or mix (don’t forget to scrape the sides of the bowl).
  3. Put the mixer on low and add lightly beaten egg (one at a time).
  4. Set aside the mixture.

For the crust:

  1. Crush the Graham crackers.
  2. Add the sugar and melted butter.

Once you have the crust and cheesecake ready, the next step is to:

  1. Put the crushed Graham mixture into a springform pan.
  2. Pour the cheesecake mixture into the pan.
  3. Put it in the oven. Set it to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and bake for around one hour.
  4. Remove the pan from the oven and let it cool down for at least 10 minutes.
  5. Gently loosen the crust from the springform pan, but do not remove the ring!
  6. Let the cheesecake cool to room temperature. This will take roughly 1 to 2 hours.
  7. Then, put it inside the refrigerator for at least 6 hours.
  8. Remove the springform pan ring, and serve!

Crème Brûlée

Crème brûlée is a must-try! This dessert, which starts with the letter C, has caramelized sugar on top. Once you crack it open, you get a glassy layer of silky vanilla custard made with cream, egg yolks, and sugar. What does it taste like? A contrasting flavor of rich and velvety custard and the bitter and sweet taste of the caramelized sugar with every bite.

Cream Puffs

If you prefer a light, creamy treat, try cream puffs! This letter C dessert has an airy, crispy shell (made from choux dough) and a deliciously creamy filling. And yes, that contrast of textures is what will make you eat more than one!

Croquembouche

The croquembouche is a tower of cream puffs, bound and bathed with caramel. As you might have expected, it’s not the easiest thing to make, but when you pull it off, you don’t only get a delicious dessert, but you also have a centerpiece!

Cannoli

Another must-try is the cannoli. Why? Well, with one bite, you’ll taste a fried pastry shell that shatters slightly before it hits the sweet ricotta filling. Some recipes have nuts or chocolate chips, but either way, it’s a delicious dessert you should have on your bucket list.

Churros

Churros are a deep-fried choux-style pastry dough that you dip in chocolate. They are a staple in amusement parks and fairs, but you can also make them at home. You just have to mix some flour, sugar, what, and salt, then fry the dough into sticks. Then coat them in sugar and some cinnamon, to later dip them into chocolate or dulce de leche.
