Prime Day 2019 saw a lot of great deals on laptops and other electronics. We know 2020 will have the same. We’re looking forward to great discounts on some of our favorite laptops including the Dell XPS 13 and the MacBook Pro.
Apple MacBook Pro 16″
This is one of our favorite laptops for writers and students. The 16″ MacBook features 16GB RAM, 512GB of storage, and a 2.6GHz Intel Core i7 processor. The return of the magic keyboard, which has been completely redone and returns to the old butterfly-style keys, makes writing one MacBook once again an enjoyable experience.
Google Pixelbook Go
The Google Pixelbook Go is our second favorite laptop for writers. It has an extra-long battery life (12 hours), a backlit keyboard with Hush keys for quiet typing, and weighs just over 2lbs. It is one of the best investments for your buck. Just be sure all of your programs are ok with ChromeOS. Comes in 8GB/16GB RAM and 64-256GB SSD configurations.
Dell XPS 13 – $519.99 off
We typically recommend the Dell XPS laptop line to college students studying business or engineering. They’re all around powerful laptops. While they are pricey, the Prime Day discounts definitely help. The XPS 13 comes with 16GB RAM, a 1TB SSD, and an i7 processor. These specs will age well throughout four years of college.
Asus ZenBook Pro
The big brother of the regular Asus ZenBook that we recommend in most of our reviews, the Asus Zenbook Pro packs a punch. It features two monitors (yes, two!!!) which makes it easy to multitask or spread out your applications that require viewing multiple screens at once. The Intel Core i9-9980HK processor, 32GB RAM, 1TB PCIe SSD, and GeForce RTX 2060 graphics are all amazing specs for a laptop. This will make any gamer, engineering student, or computer lover happy.
