Book 1: Pacific Vortex

Dirk Pitt is a brave adventurer who notices a container past the breakers while enjoying a lazy day on the beach. He swims through the dangerous waters to retrieve the container, only to find a capsule used by submarines to communicate with ships. The capsule reveals a message from the commander of a U.S. Navy ship that had disappeared six months prior with all crew mates onboard. The information revealed that the ship had vanished into the Pacific Vortex, a dangerous fog-filled sea zone. Pitt’s job as a deep-sea expert is to find and salvage the Starbuck, a deep-diving nuclear weapon, in a race against time.

Book 2: The Mediterranean Caper

Dirk Pitt and his deputy are on their way to an assignment when they get an emergency distress call from a nearby air control tower. The Brady Air Force Base is attacked by a biplane that destroys millions of military planes and equipment. Dirk Pitt fought with nothing but rifles and miraculously came out victorious. This is followed by a series of misadventures, including protecting an American scientific expedition and battling the leader of an international smuggling ring.

Book 3: Iceberg

A luxury yacht frozen in a towering iceberg contains priceless and missing cargo. Major Dirk Pitt has to investigate what is soon identified as a covered-up murder. Pitt and a scientist colleague locate the ship but find few answers and more mysteries. On their way to Iceland to proceed with the investigation, a black jet attacks their helicopter, and Dirk manages to make the black jet crash. However, their helicopter crashes as well, and so does his scientist colleague. Dirk soon learns the plans of James and Oskar, world domination using the undersea probe.

Book 4: Raise the Titanic!

After a huge operation, the Titanic, a sunken ship, is found. People are eager to see the ship brought to land for a better view. A passenger on the Titanic finds out that the ship is about to go down and threatens a crewman to take him to the vault, where he locks himself inside with a Byzantium that can be used to create a weapon that can counter incoming ballistic missiles using sound waves. Dirk Pitt is tasked with recovering the rare ore.

Book 5: Vixen 03

In 1954, the Vixen 03, a pacific-bound plane, crashes and vanishes into a frozen lake in Colorado with more than thirty doomsday bombs. In 1988, Dirk Pitt discovered aircraft parts at a cabin while on vacation with Loren Smith. He soon realizes that they were, in fact, the remnants of the missing Vixen 03. With the aim of destroying the Doomsday Bombs before they fall back into the hands of the government, Pitt sets out on a mission to recover the missing weapons.

An intelligent and beautiful naval commander discovers vague information referring to a long-lost American secret treaty between Great Britain and the United States. Book 7: Deep Six

Dirk Pitt investigates a ship found on an island in Alaska. The ship wreckage contains a nerve agent in the cargo. During the investigation, an EPA agent injures her leg, tearing her suit and exposing her to the nerve agent which kills her. Pitt is then determined to find the nerve agent’s origin to get justice for the needless death of the EPA agent.

Book 8: Cyclops

A rich man goes on a blimp and gets lost along the journey in Bermuda. The rogue blimp drifts toward Florida from the Cuban waters. However, the blimp has four dead bodies; none of them is the wealthy American. The United States President then finds out that the Soviet Union is planning a moon landing where the Americans had placed secret colony decades beforehand. This leads to conflict in space. Pitt is in a race against time to stop a possible nuclear war by debunking an international conspiracy.

A luxury cruise ship using modern engines sinks after catching fire. The strange part is that the sprinkler systems did not activate, and the alarms stayed silent.
