Originality’s pricing is fairly straightforward with credits where 1 credit scans 100 words and each credit costs $0.01. Therefore to scan a 1,000-word article, you’ll spend 1000/100 * $0.01 = $0.10.

Another great AI detection tool is GPTZero. It boasts over 1 million users, but in our testing, it wasn’t quite as accurate as Originiality.ai.

GPTZero lets you copy and paste text or upload a file to be scanned. File upload types accepted include pdf, docx, and txt files. GPTZero also features an API. One downside is that you have to enter at least 250 characters for the tool to work.
Currently, GPTZero only supports up to GPT-3.4, but GPT-4 support is likely coming soon.
